Daughter and Granddaughter Fun

My daughter and granddaughter came for a few days
and we crafted and baked.  My daughter wanted me
to share what we did.  Everything on this blog she made.

Pokeball card.

Cupcake card.

Ballerina dress card.

Santa treat box or giftcard holder.

She made caramel brownies.

Heart shaped chocolate chip cookies.

Peanut butter with white chocolate chip and M & M's
in a heart shape for her hubby.

I bought a walker for the baby.

This is her favorite face to make.

I taught her how to crawl up the steps
which became her new favorite thing to do.

And I rocked her to sleep.
It was an awesome few days.

Gulkana Chapel Mission Trip 2011

Our mission is to bring joy, happiness,
and the love of Jesus through VBS to the children
of Gulkana Village in Alaska.
Gulkana Village is a small Native American
village in Gakona Alaska.
It is about 3 hours from Anchorage Alaska.

This is Gulkana Chapel.

The blue mobilehome is where Pastor Bob and Jody live.

This is the new road that leads in and out of the village.

They welcomed us at church on Sunday before VBS

Team meeting and prayer before we begin VBS.
Our theme was God's All-Star Champions.

We feed them.  For some it will be the only
meal for the day.

They decorated T-shirts

They did crafts.  I was in charge of crafts this year.

Mike lead worship and did magic tricks.

They learned a Bible verse each day.
There was a message.

We used skits and videos for teaching the message.
My husband played Mr. Potato Head

This is what he looked like all put
together the right way.
The kids can ride their bikes on the new road.
Most of the houses are very small.
We invited the kids and the community to have smores
and see what the kids had done all week.
This is Pastor Bob burning a few marshmellows.
My mom, sister in law, and I made hats for the children.
We donated over 100 hats.
This rainbow showed up at the end.
I believe God was happy.

Baby Bib Flower Bouquet

I made this flower bouquet using bibs from Baby's R Us.

You can use washcloths too but I liked
the ruffles on the edge of these bibs.

I added a gift card from Baby's R Us.
