Two with Nature

Today my hubby and I went on this nature trail.

It runs along side of Monte Verde Park in Lakewood, Ca.

Not sure how long the trail is.

Nice path to walk on.

This little guy showed up just in time.

Lots of berries bushes.

Our neighbors used to grow these and I

remember that they are poisonous.

Pretty yellow clusters.

Pretty blue clusters.

This reminds me of someone with their head in the dirt\

and long arms reaching out.

Unusual branches on this tree.

It was a gorgous day to be outside.

5 Days with the Granddaughter

These are some of my favorite pictures

that I took of my granddaughter.

Our granddaughter loves finger foods. 

 I made her sweet potatoes, peaches, and peas.

Notice the two fisted eater.

She had her first bubble bath in the bathtub

and not the sink.

I am trying my hand at some professional

type photos.

Had to do it.  I know its early.

My husband and I drive to San Clemente Beach for the day.

We were celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary. 

I took this photo of our hands creating a heart.

I am thankful for the special feeling I have inside that is called "Love"

"Anniversaries"

My husband and I are celebrating our 30 year wedding

anniversary today.  He got up before me and did a sweet facebook

post and made me breakfast in bed.  Yes, you can say

he is a sweet, kind, and loving man.  I love him very much. 

God has blessed us in so many ways. 

 I am thankful for the 30 years that we have been together.

Someone asked me what the secret is to being married

that long.  I don't think there is a secret.  I think it depends on

the people in the relationship and how committed

they are.  Everyone handles life changes differently. 

Some life changes rip relationships apart

and the same change can bring people together.

Everyday is a new day.

I am thankful that our church takes the time to honor the

women who serve at our church in various ways.  Every

gift and talent it doesn't matter big or small is all the same in God's eyes.

We enjoyed a beautifully decorated table as well as

fancy drinks and a slice of pie.

Today, I passed on the 50th birthday necklace to my good friend.

I am thankful for good friends.

I am thankful for the computer because we can stay collected with

family and friends and look up a recipe if we want to.

My first attempt at cakeballs.  I changed the picture

to black and white so you can't see all my mistakes!

They tasted good, I guess that's what really matters, right?

Today I went to a nail shop by my house and

got a manicure and pedicure.  On top of having this done

the chair was massaging my back.  A nice way to de-stress.

I am thankful for the person

 that doesn't mind touching feet

so I can have pretty feet.

I am ready for summer to begin. 

Bring on the flipflops and sandals!
