5 for Friday

                                                                 5 for Friday with Janna
                                                                  What I did this week...
Went Trick or Treating with my
granddaughter and my grand nieces and nephews.
I only lasted a couple of blocks and
then went home and passed out candy.
Started a new antibiotic.
Hopefully this one will kick my ear infection.

Finished table numbers for our church event.

Treated myself to caramel apples.
I melted 8 caramels from Sprouts in a cup with a little
bit of water in the microwave and cut up an apple.
Yum!

And had my coffee in my Christmas cup.
Because I could.  Haha!
Have a great weekend

Engagement Dinner

We had a small engagement dinner for our son and his fiance.
We invited our local family and a couple of their good friends.

I cut out Mickey shaped head and put letters
that spelled out FINALLY ENGAGED

The couple will be married in Florida at Disney World.
And a reception is being planned for California.

The happy couple

Place settings with kisses in the cups to keep them
from blowing away.

Our daughter and future daughter in law worked
on these white cupcakes with lemon curd filling.
Note the Disney picks also handmade.

I made a baked pasta with Italian Sausage and
Grilled lemon chicken over penne lemon sauce with basil.
Salad and Bread.
We had a champagne toast and the little kids toasted with sparkling cider.
It was a wonderful evening!

5 Days with the Granddaughter

These are some of my favorite pictures
that I took of my granddaughter.

Our granddaughter loves finger foods.
I made her sweet potatoes, peaches, and peas.
Notice the two fisted eater.
She had her first bubble bath in the bathtub
and not the sink.

I am trying my hand at some professional
type photos.

Had to do it.  I know its early.

Love the two teeth.

Maybe a ballerina.

Enjoyed her rocking chair for the first time.

Love this outdoor tub shot.

We had a great time!!

Wish they could be here to have one,
 since they reside in Virgina.
Recipe:
Melt 3 Tbsp. butter in a large saucepan
when melted at 3 c. mini marshmellows and
1/2 c. Red Velvet cake mix (dry)
Cook until melted
Remove from heat and add 6 c. rice krispies and
1 c. white chocolate
Place in buttered 13"x9" pan

Daughter and Granddaughter Fun

My daughter and granddaughter came for a few days
and we crafted and baked.  My daughter wanted me
to share what we did.  Everything on this blog she made.

Pokeball card.

Cupcake card.

Ballerina dress card.

Santa treat box or giftcard holder.

She made caramel brownies.

Heart shaped chocolate chip cookies.

Peanut butter with white chocolate chip and M & M's
in a heart shape for her hubby.

I bought a walker for the baby.

This is her favorite face to make.

I taught her how to crawl up the steps
which became her new favorite thing to do.

And I rocked her to sleep.
It was an awesome few days.
